Green Chutney Recipe
Serves – 4-6
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 cup mint leaves
- 2″ ginger
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (whole)
- 2 medjool dates or 1 1/2 teaspoon raw brown sugar (optional)
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- Water as required (approximately 1/4 cup)
- Salt to taste
DIRECTIONS:
- Pureé all the ingredients in a blender.
This chutney (spicy condiment) is a version of the versatile traditional Indian green chutney. Use as an accompaniment/condiment to rice and vegetable dishes, as a spread, marinade, or dip. Consider using it in cucumber sandwiches as a spread.
