Calling all lovers of the Bhagavad Gita (song of God), and people who are yet to read this great text but are intrigued by it. Whether this book is new to you, or you are a seasoned reader of the Gita, I invite you to a thoughtful and meaningful discussion, understanding, meditation, self-reflection and dialog on the illuminative passages of this great book.

The Bhagavad-Gita – a 700-verse Sanskrit Hindu scripture, is an ocean of knowledge and serves as a practical guide to life and living. The Gita was a guiding force in the lives of many celebrated personalities including Mahatma Gandhi, Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson , Carl Jungand T.S. Elliot.

“The battlefield is a perfect backdrop, but the Gita’s subject is the war within, the struggle for self-mastery that every human being must wage if he or she is to emerge from life victorious.”
Eknath Easwaran

We all face challenges, big and small, in our everyday lives. Arjuna, the warrior prince’s dilemma was an enormous one. Facing an opposing army consisting of his respected elders, friends and relatives (cousins!), Arjuna is unsure. At this pivotal moment, he seeks counsel from his charioteer, Lord Krishna himself, who offers him profound words of advice. Advice that is still very much relevant today, and one that we can apply to our very own life, as we face our challenges and dilemmas. Personally, it offers me much needed wisdom and solace in times of need. More importantly, I look at the Gita as a roadmap of life and living.
